About BESITOS YOGA

BESITOS is Spanish for “kisses” 💋, and it sums up my yoga: befriending the body and melting tension into ease.

How it started

For over 20 years, I lived with chronic pelvic pain that deeply shaped how I approach yoga, movement, and healing.

Like many people with chronic conditions, I spent years trying countless treatments and therapies, but without lasting change.

Along the way, I repeatedly heard “just do yoga.” but the styles available to me back then focused more on performance than what I actually needed.

Physicians told me to just “stress less,” but despite my best intentions, my body remained rigid and tense.

Things shifted when I found a practice that worked gently from within, rather than pushing through.

How I work today

Today, I support people living with chronic stress and pain in reconnecting with their bodies and learning to skillfully regulate their inner states.

My yoga focuses on somatic regulation through breath, awareness, and gentle movement, working with the body instead of pushing it.

Yoga alone does not replace medical care or therapy!

But as a powerful complementary practice, you can use it to support your recovery and retrain your body's responses.

SPECIAL FOCUS: pelvic pain relief

I offer focused support for pelvic pain conditions: vaginismus & vulvodynia, informed by both lived experience and professional training into Yoni Mapping Therapy.

KUNDALINI YOGA & SOMATIC THERAPIES

A blend of Kundalini and elements of somatic therapies (Somatic Experiencing & Bioenergetics) for a nervous system reset through breath, movement, and voice.

SOUND FREQUENCIES & REIKI ENERGY

Sound frequencies of Tibetan bowls help guide the brain into deep rest (alpha & theta states), while Reiki energy gently supports relaxation and healing.

YIN YOGA & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

A combination of long-held stretches & self-massage along fascial lines to release tension, support downregulation, and restore ease in body and movement.

BREATHWORK

A guided practice of using intentional breath patterns to support nervous system regulation, release tension, and help you move between activation and rest.

RESTORATIVE & SOMATIC YOGA

Slow, supported postures that allow the body to unwind naturally, promoting deep relaxation, deep rest, and a greater sense of ease in the body.

YOGA NIDRA FOR chronic PAIN RELIEF

A guided deep rest practice using somatic awareness, visualisation, and elements of hypnosis to support regulation and soothe chronic pain.

Community & values

I believe recovery from chronic suffering is not only about returning to ourselves, but also finding our way back to each other.

Finding my Sangha, a community of shared practice and healing, has been instrumental in my recovery.

That's why I'm dedicated to creating safe, sober spaces rooted in moindful presence and connection.

Alongside teaching, I practice Seva (selfless service):

  • regularly facilitating meditations for Recovery Dharma Berlin;

  • walking the path of a 12-Step Recovery fellow;

  • serving at the Guru Ram Dass Ashram in Portugal every year.

These experiences ground my work in:

  • acceptance of what-is;

  • compassion and loving-kindness;

  • the belief that recovery is possible, no matter how long it takes!
